Custom Media For Conference Table
The customer needed many different video, audio, CAT6 and electrical outlets
mounted flush with the top of their conference table. We were unable to find a
suitable housing from the table manufacture to be fitted in the table. We
decided to use a 5X5 multi media floor box and custom cut the table for the fit.
However, the lid to the floor box has a recessed area for carpet to be
installed. To solve this problem we used a piece of dark plexiglas custom cut
and glued it to the recessed lid to hid the factory galvanized metal color of
the lid. We then used an existing logo on file and attached it to the top of the
dark plexiglas. Finally we used a piece of lightly smoked plexiglas custom cut
and glued it around the edges to the bottom piece of dark plexiglas. Using the
added thickness of the Plexiglas gave us the end result of a flush to the table
lid with an attractive display for the customer.
