This project consisted of 600+ CAT5E 350MHz cables, 72 fiber optic terminations
and multiple CAT3 backbone cables between network cabinets. This project lasted
about one year with 70+ major changes during installation and still met every
milestone and deadline in place. This install was a Berk-Tek® cable and Ortronics®
connectivity products horizontal cabling solution. Installation included one
Main Distribution Frame location and two Intermediate Distribution Frame locations. With a
high heat environment in this warehouse, AC units are installed onto the
cabinets in the IDF locations. We have installed redundant fiber optic backbone
cable routes inside inner duct and 100pr / 50pr CAT3 cables from IDF network cabinets
to the MDF server room.
